Dear Members and Friends of the National Federation of the Blind of Kansas,

We are writing to invite you to attend the annual convention of the NFB of Kansas, being held October 28 th-30 th in Wichita.

Our list of presenters include:

Fred Schroeder – Former RSA Commissioner and our National Representative.

Curtis Chong -- President of NFB in Computer Science and Director of Field Operations and Access Technology at the Iowa Department for the Blind.

Peggy Chong -- Private Contractor, currently working with the Iowa Department for the Blind as a Travel Instructor and with Employment Issues.

Marsha Stevens – Regional Director of the Wichita State University Small Business Development Center.

We will also have presentations on basic self defense, making an impression, and the history of the NFB’s organizing efforts.

The convention will take place at the Holiday Inn Select at the corner of Rock road and Kellogg in Wichita. The NFB group rate of $67 per night is available until October 14 th.

The NFB South Central Chapter would like to invite you to a Halloween Party! The party will be held on Saturday October 29, 2005 from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00a.m. First, second and third place prizes will be given to those wearing the best costumes, so be creative in your choice of attire for the party. Come and join us. A spooky time will be had by all!

The convention promises to be fun, educational, and inspiring. Look for the details on the enclosed agenda and return your preregister form as soon as possible.
